In 1993 "Tanki" Tankred A. Mueller, then for about 3 years the dive instructor and manager of Silver Beach Diving, which was the first dive operation here in Carriacou, deceits it was time for a change.

Together with Michael Bucker, a German business man, he obtained the property on L'Esterre Bay to open up his own Dive Base and Bar & Restaurant, named "Tanki's Watersport Paradise Ltd".

After a promissing first season, they recognized that it would be very helpful if they could provide accomodation to their divers, who came from arount the world, instead led them lodge at some place else.

In 1995 Tanki's Watersport Paradise completed the construction of the hotel at the very same location and offered, as the name stated, a variety of watersport related services to the tourism industrie.

2003 Tanki deceited to move back to Germany and Tanki's Watersport Paradise closed down after the Dive Base equipment and knowlege was sold and given away to the now established dive operations here in Carriacou.

As a son of the soil, Mr. Peter Adams while living in the UK, deceidet to purchase the property, and let his local relatives manage it on his behalf.

After some renovation, without changing the caracter of the place, and trial operations for a couple of seasons, he thought it's time to get seriouse, and gave it a complete overhaul including a more appropiate name.

As you sit by the beach or the Restaurant & Bar, you can enjoy daily a magnificent sunset, and in conjunction with this unspoiled beach the only name that came to mind was SUNSET BEACH HOTEL. If you have a look at those pictures, you may be agree, but you have to be here to see it.

The tranquility, beautiful beach, pristine water and the magnificent sunsets are part of our enviroment which we very much cherish, but we have a a great deal more to offer.
